THE Big Beach Ball has confirmed that Scottish dance music legend Mylo has been added to the line-up for this year's festival in Aberdeen.
Having produced one of the biggest electronic albums of all time with Destroy Rock N Roll, Mylo instantly became a firm favourite with thousands across the world.
A festival spokesman said: "Making a rare live appearance in Scotland, this is something of a catch for Aberdeen, and indeed Scotland's music festivals on the whole, so don't miss out on a ticket for what will be one of Mylo's only performances in 2014."
In a storming addition to the Voyager x DSR Sound System Stage, drum and bass stalwart, Dillinja, is set to play.
There are few producers on the drum and bass scene who are as respected and revered as Dillinja, even remixing for the likes of David Bowie, Bjork, Faith No More, Soul II Soul and Basement Jaxx.
The spokesman added: "With his trademark combination of stomach-churning basslines and tighter than tight beats, his reputation has been secured as one of the most influential producers in drum and bass history.
"Kicking off the very same sound system stage, another addition to our line-up sees Tuff Wax Records duo Bones & Money bring their slower jams to ease you into a day of what the stage offers.
"Outside in one of our new areas for 2014 – The Container – we've enlisted local party starters from House Of House to add a slice of what they do best."
Taking place on Sunday, May 4, at the city's Beach Ballroom, the festival sees some of the world's biggest DJs line-up alongside fantastic live bands and artists from across the country – and with the ballroom celebrating it's 85th birthday on the same weekend, its kicking off the UK festival season with a bang.
It will also feature Breakneck Comedy, indoor and outdoor stages, pop-up shops, beach bars and a food market – it is set to be one of the biggest music events in Scotland this year.
