A NEW music group for adults is being formed in Keith.

‘Strathisla Strings’ will be open to anyone who plays a stringed instrument. A keyboard player and accordionist are also being sought.

Adults who would like to join the music group can go along to the first meeting, which will take place at The Crown in Reidhaven Square on Wednesday, February 5 from 7.30pm.

The group is being formed by Jim Talbot, who previously played with the Alford and Garioch Fiddlers.

"We will be predominantly playing Scottish traditional music, but also both traditional and classical music from Ireland, Scandinavia and across the world," he said.

Following the inaugural meeting, the group will meet on the first Wednesday of each month.
