CONTROVERSIAL rock bad boy Pete Doherty returns to Inverness music venue The Ironworks on Wednesday 26th September.
The singer, songwriter, artist, poet, model and more recently film actor, has attracted more column inches for his run-ins with the law, battle with drug addiction and much publicised relationship with supermodel Kate Moss.
But as co-leader of The Libertines he was one of Britain’s most influential musicians of the early 21st century before an acrimonious split with bandmate Carl Barât resulted in his leaving The Libertines and founding Babyshambles.
Reportedly thrown out of a Thai de-tox centre for disruptive behaviour earlier this year, Doherty caused some controversy on his previous visit to The Ironworks in December 2006 when he was accused of flaunting the recently imposed smoking ban by lighting up on stage.
Tickets for September’s Inverness show go on sale from The Ironworks at 10am on Friday 31st August.
