PLAN B returns to RockNess this June for his first headline performance at the Highland festival.
As well as producing the albums "Who Needs Actions When You Got Words" and "The Defamation of Strickland Banks", Plan B (Ben Drew) has also found time to direct, star in and record the soundtrack for the feature film "Ill Manors" and take a lead role in the big screen remake of "The Sweeney" alongside Ray Winstone, but will be firmly concentrating on the music when he makes his first RockNess visit since 2010.
Also returning to RockNess will be London technobillies ALABAMA 3, joining a line-up which includes previously announced acts Example, Basement Jaxx, Madness, Ellie Goulding, Newton Faulkner and The Vaccines.
Newly announced acts include international visitors Australian indie rockers THE TEMPER TRAP, Dutch DJ JORIS VOORN, Detroit’s CARL CRAIG, Berlin-based LEN FAKI, Belgium’s NETSKY and Russia’s PROXY.
From closer to home come Grammy nominated producer NIC FANCIULLI, THE FUTUREHEADS, Soma Records signings MARK HENNING and HARVEY MCKAY, ALEX METRIC, MAT ZO, Bristol Drum & Bass composer REDLIGHT and ANIMAL FARM (aka Daren Quail, Chris Lamb and Charles Turtle).
Dave Clarke, head of Glasgow’s Soma Records, will programme this year’s Arcadia Afterburner stage.
"We always look forward to inviting DJs to RockNess," he said.
"It’s the best boutique festival in the UK. Set in beautiful surroundings and attracting a great audience of fun loving music fans who like to dance!"
Fans have until midnight today, Thursday 28th February, to take advantage of the festival’s three instalment payment plan, but savings can still be made by buying tickets over the counter at Inverness businesses The Ironworks, Cafferys and Attic, with no additional booking fee.
