FRENCH producer and DJ Vitalic and London duo Public Service Broadcasting have signed on for Ironworks appearances in spring 2013.
Vitalic, who appears at the Inverness venue on Saturday 6th April, recently released third album "Rave Age" and after two albums Pascal Arbez-Nicolas says he has "learnt what is effective when you play and what entertains me when I play — this album is what I want to play when I DJ."
Known for his remixes for Bjork, Sexy Sushi, Heartbreak and Amadou & Mariam, Vitalic first came to the attention of the dance scene in 2001 with debut EP "Poney".
He toured his V Mirror live show internationally for two years and performed in front of thousands at festivals and huge venues, travelling with a small team in a tour bus like a rock band, and has said he is excited about making a really cool show for his next tour.
Public Service Broadcasting include Inverness on a tour of the Highlands and Islands that takes in Mull’s An Tobar (30th April), Sabhal Mor Ostaig on Skye (1st May), Stornoway’s Woodlands Centre (3rd May), Ullapool’s Arch Inn (4th May) and Aviemore’s Old Bridge Inn (5th May) as well as The Ironworks on Thursday 2nd May.
Comprising J. Willgoose, Esq. and his drumming companion, Wrigglesworth, PSB appeared at Loopallu earlier this year and return to once more teach the lessons of the past through the music of the future, making use of vintage television sets and state of the art video projectors, as well as samples from vintage public information and propaganda films.
The band are now preparing to release their debut album in the spring of 2013.
Tickets for both shows go on sale on Friday 21st December at 10am.
