The Levellers visit Wick, Aberdeen and the islands on their far north tour

VETERAN band The Levellers, who last year celebrated their 25th anniversary, are heading for the far north of Scotland with a tour that takes in Orkney, Shetland, Wick and Aberdeen.

A popular festival choice, The Levellers sold more platinum, gold, and silver albums in the 1990s than any other act, including the platinum-selling 1991 album Levelling The Land, which featured the hits One Way, Riverflow, The Game, Far From Home and Liberty Song.

The band’s summer Highlands and Islands tour will see them play the following dates:

Tuesday 15th July, The Lemon Tree, Aberdeen.

Wednesday 16th July, The Clickmin, Lerwick.

Thursday 17th July, Fusion, Kirkwall.

Friday 18th July, The Assembly Rooms, Wick.
