THE story of the birth of Jesus is being told through the medium of theatre in a Moray festive show.

Rock Academy Performing Arts’ version of the Nativity will be staged at Elgin Town Hall on December 23 and Christmas Eve.

The Lossiemouth centre’s director of dance, Diane Aspinall, said the performance is very sensitive to a story which remains at the very heart of Christmas.

“The show is full of wonderful songs, characters, laughter and dance pieces all being brought together to produce this truly magical show,” she said.

Nativity is performed by Rock Academy’s older pupils and full time HNC Dance Performance students in two Monday shows (2.30pm and 7.30pm) and a Christmas Eve matinée (2.30pm).

Elgin Town Hall will be transformed into a cabaret-style venue for the show, with Christmas tables, candles and what promises to be a very festive atmosphere.
