WHILE many of us look forward to taking it easy over the Christmas period, sitting in front of the fire, watching television and eating lots of chocolates, for the cast of Sleeping Beauty at Eden Court things will not be so relaxing.

Not with two shows a day for five weeks over the festive period — although they do get Christmas Day off.

Julia Cave who plays the dashing Prince Valiant, Arron Usher who plays the hilarious Muddles the Jester, Marj Hogarth who is the wicked fairy Carabosse and Ross Allan who plays her sidekick Gob, revealed how they will be spending Christmas Day.

How will you be spending Christmas?

Julia: In my lovely little cottage in Inverness

Arron: I will also be in a lovely Inverness cottage, with my partner, enjoying a day off, a traditional Christmas dinner and watching festive TV. Hopefully Santa will be kind to me too.

Marj: If I’m awake, I’ll probably be eating chocolate!

Ross: This year I will be popping over to Elgin to celebrate Christmas with my wonderful family

What is your favourite Christmas memory?

Julia: Guessing what presents are under the tree on Christmas eve with my brother

Arron: When I was seven, I got up really early with my heart pounding because I thought Santa might still be in the room... he wasn’t, but my first ever bike was and it was red.

Marj: I love Christmas, so I have lots of happy memories. My first ever professional pantomime springs to mind, when I rented a car and drove 350 miles on Christmas morning to surprise my family. The look on their faces was priceless.

Ross: Watching my Mum sing Copacabana on a karaoke machine with a pineapple on her head.

What is the worst present you have ever received?

Julia: Any present is great!

Arron: A plastic piggy bank in a Secret Santa during a panto a few years ago.

Marj: Socks!

Ross: A bright checked shirt with a hood attached. A shirt with a hood? I don’t get it.

If you had a secret Santa — what would you want him to bring you?

Arron Usher as Muddles: All he wants for Christmas is you - and Kylie Minogue.

Julia: I'd like a kitten.

Arron: Anything to do with Kylie Minogue... or even Kylie herself.

Marj: Land Rover Defender with running boards and a Snorkel 6 — I’d wish for a happy ending!

If you found the sixpence in the Christmas cake what would you wish for?

Julia: A time travel machine to pop round my families in Sussex on Christmas day.

Arron: Peace and goodwill to all men... well it is Christmas after all

Marj: Oooh, that is really difficult — probably more wishes so I didn’t have to choose!

Ross: Toblerone just in case my Secret Santa didn’t give me enough!

What is your favourite Christmas Song?

Julia: All I Want for Christmas is yoouuuuuuuu!

Arron: Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You.
