Star will show all you 'knead' to know about art of baking

Paul Hollywood, The Great British Bake Off
'The Great British Bake Off' star Paul Hollywood will be bringing his live show to Aberdeen in November.

CULINARY heartthrob Paul Hollywood will share his passion for baking with an Aberdeen Music Hall audience later this year as part of a national tour.

And four randomly-selected audience members will get to take part in a baking challenge for the chance to be crowned star baker by the Great British Bake Off star.

"When I was approached to do a tour, I jumped at the chance, and I can't wait to share my passion for baking with a live audience," said Paul.

The show, on Tuesday, November 25, will feature stories from his time as head baker at some of the world's most exclusive hotels and from filming of The Great British Bake Off.

"This is one show where we just know the tickets will go like hot cakes," said Aberdeen Performing Arts' Joyce Summers.

"Who wouldn't want to get some cookery tips from one of the world's most famous bakers?

"The Great British Bake Off has a huge following, and this will be a rare chance to see the master baker himself at work."

Hollywood's TV career started in 1999 when he co-hosted programmes with James Martin for the Carlton food network and CFN Taste and he appeared as a guest in a number of British TV shows.

Since the show's launch in 2010, he has been a judge alongside Mary Berry, on BBC2's baking show The Great British Bake Off.

In 2013, he presented Paul Hollywood's Bread on BBC2 and Paul Hollywood's Pies and Puds, a cookery television series on BBC1.

Tickets for the show, which also include VIP packages offering prime seats, a meet and greet before the show, a Paul Hollywood merchandise goodie bag, and a taste of his baking from the show, are on sale now.

To book, call 01224 641122, go online at www.aberdeenperformingarts.com or visit the Aberdeen Box Office outlets at the Music Hall and His Majesty's Theatre.
