Police identify body found in Moray river

?AN ELDERLY woman found dead in the River Findhorn at the weekend has been identified.

The body of Florence Ritchie (73), of Carrbridge, was discovered at Randolph’s Leap, near Forres, on Sunday at about 9.30am.

Police officers were called to the scene after receiving a concern call from a member of the public.

The Ambulance Service, Coastguard and RAF Search and Rescue helicopter were also in attendance and the body was taken to Raigmore Hospital, in Inverness.

A police spokesman said the death is not suspicious and next of kin have been informed.
