IN the aftermath of the Budget, my SNP colleagues and I have been repeating calls for the Government to scrap the expensive and unnecessary ID Cards scheme, which is projected to cost more than £5 billion, and the plans for a new 'Son of Trident' weapons system, with a projected lifetime cost approaching a staggering £100 billion.
