Clair Wiseman, 56 Pluscarden Road, Elgin, graduated from Aberdeen's Robert Gordon University, BA (hons) applied social sciences. Now working in Aberdeen, Clair is to continue studying psychology at open university.

Judith Verner, Miltonhill, Kinloss, a former Forres Academy pupil, graduated from Glasgow's Caledonian University, BSc (hons) microbiology.

Kellie Whyte, Lhanbryde, a former Milne's High School pupil, graduated from Aberdeen's Robert Gordon University, BA (hons) international tourism management. Kellie was sponsored by Central Michigan University, USA, to attend a placement year at Walt Disney World, 2007-08.

Jill Winchester, Greenlands, Dufftown, a former Speyside High School pupil, graduated from Strathclyde University, Glasgow, master in pharmacy (dist).

Hannah Yeoman, 45 Brucelands, Elgin, graduated from Glasgow University, MBCHB. Hannah, a former dux of Elgin Academy, is now working at Crosshouse Hospital, Kilmarnock.

Craig Wallace, 14a South Guildry Street, Elgin, a former Elgin Academy pupil, graduated from Aberdeen University, first class hons in finance-property and now works for Ryden Property Consultants Chartered Surveyors.

Vladimir Bujanda Valiente, Forties Place, Lossiemouth, graduated from the University of Essex, Masters in Law LLB, international human rights law. Vladimir is working as a trainee solicitor with the Moray Council.

Laura Watt, Mill of Buckie Farm, Buckie, graduated from Heriot-Watt University, BSc (hons) chemistry. Laura, a former Milne's High School pupil, is doing a post graduate diploma in forensic science.

Barrie Williams, 55 Elgin Road, Lossiemouth, graduated from Edinburgh’s Heriot-Watt University, BSc (hons) applied marine biology. Barrie is a former Lossiemouth High School pupil.

Fiona Younie, Cranloch Farm, Elgin, a former Milne’s High School pupil, graduated BSc (hons) marine and coastal resource management from Aberdeen University.

Catriona Walker, Fochabers, a former Elgin Academy pupil, graduated with a first class honours degree in management with human resource management from Aberdeen's Robert Gordon University. Catriona is now living and working in Aberdeen.

Alasdair Wishart, of 44 Beech Brae, Elgin, graduated BEng (hons) in automotive engineering from Edinburgh’s Heriot Watt University. Alistair, a former Elgin Academy pupil, is currently enjoying a gap year in China, where he is studying Mandarin.

Joni Wilson, 87 Milnefield Avenue, Elgin, a former Elgin High pupil, graduated from Edinburgh’s Napier Unviersity, BSc child heallth (intensive care) with distinction.

Nicola Whyte, 4 Winster Place, Elgin, a former Elgin Academy pupil, graduated from Dundee University, BEd Primary education (first class hons).

Nicola Watson, 110 St Michaels Road, Newtonhill, Stonehaven, a former Milne's High pupil, graduated from Grays School of Art, Aberdeen, with a first class honours Bachelors degree in design for digital media.

Tracey Willetts, 10 Pansport Place, Elgin, graduated BA (open) from the Open University. Tracey, a former Elgin Academy pupil, is the daughter of the late Harold Willetts and Dorothy Legge.

Simon Williamson from Elgin graduated BA (first class honours) in retail management from The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. He achieved this despite having to undertake regular 130-mile round trips to the Garthdee campus from his home on a motorbike “older than most of his classmates!”

Morna Young, 'Lothlorien’, St Aethan’s Road, Burghead, a former Elgin Academy pupil, graduated MA in Acting for Screen (distinction) from London’s Central School of Speech and Drama.

Alex West, Riach Cottage, Longmorn, has graduated from Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University BSc (hons) computing for internet and multi-media. Alex, a former Elgin High School pupil, is now working in Aberdeen.

Fiona Webster, 49 Land Street, Rothes, graduated from Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University BSc (Hons) in biological sciences. Fiona, a former Speyside High School pupil, is now working in Aberdeen.

Gary Watkin, son of Deirdre (Bailies Drive, New Elgin) and Timothy (Dunnet) has graduated from Strathclyde University with First Class Honours in Architectural Studies. Gary will continue studying at Strathclyde University for a Masters Degree in Architecture.

Lindsay Weir, former Forres Academy pupil, graduated BSc (Hons) in Health and Social Care from the Open University. Lindsay now works at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.
