Police raid nets cannabis worth £11,500

CANNABIS with a street value of over £11,000 was seized following a police raid in Forres.

Officers from Moray division criminal investigation department and the local policing team raided an address in the town on Wednesday afternoon.

A drug search warrant was executed and during the search cannabis and cannabis plants valued at £11,500 were recovered.

A 37 year old male and 28 year old female were arrested and charged with drug supply and production offences.

They are expected to appear in Elgin Sheriff Court at a later date.

A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.

The raid was part of Operation Moravia which has seen Grampian Police execute over 50 drug search warrants across the Moray division area.
