PICTURES: St. Giles Theatre Group bring glitz, glamour and gangsters to Moray with Bugsy Malone

St. Giles Theatre Group brought the glitz, glamour and gangsters to Moray with their virtually sold-out run of Bugsy Malone.

The theatre group, featuring almost 100 talented Moray youngsters transported Elgin Town Hall audiences to 1920’s New York with their four performance run of the classic musical.

Director Emma Sharpe said: “Bugsy Malone was phenomenal last week, all our cast, crew and production team worked so hard to pull everything together and delivered a splurge-tastic performance every night!

”We had virtually four sold out performances and our audiences were cheering, clapping and on their feet constantly, it was just amazing for all our cast members to see how appreciative the audiences were.

”Bugsy Malone was a lot of hard work to create, long hours for all our volunteer team of adults and lots of challenging technical elements to consider, plus the addition of SPLURGE which definitely added an extra challenge for everyone.

“However, the amazing team at St Giles Theatre Group always rise to a challenge and certainly made it all work seamlessly and look sensational. I am very proud of every single person involved in St Giles Theatre Group!
