The show will feature more than 100 talented performers aged between 10 and 19 from St. Giles Theatre Group.

Director Emma Sharpe said: “The show is lots of fun, the musical is loosely based around the original comedy film about Bugsy Malone, an ex-boxer in 1920’s who gets involved in a gang war. The kids have really enjoyed working on it, it is the first time in our 36 year history that St. Giles Theatre Group have performed this show so it has been a new challenge and they have absolutely loved it.”

The musical is set to run at the Town Hall from Wednesday, April 3 to Saturday April 6 and will feature lots of special effects, extravagant costumes and the film’s iconic splurge guns.

All of the classic songs from the 1970’s movie musical will performed by the cast and a live band. Tickets are priced at £14-16 per person and are available online here.

Emma added: “I have seen first hand the impact that youth theatre has on young people, it makes such a difference to them and is something really positive for young people in Moray to engage with. Because we are a charity and completely volunteer run the only way we can continue to do productions is if the local community come out and support us so it is really important we have our community there at the show to support these wonderful young people.”
