A MORAY teenager confessed to his girlfriend that he had been “a bad boy”
and had raped someone.
His partner alerted the police and, quizzed the next morning, Joshua Latham initially claimed: “She was up for it – she wanted it.”
However, the 19-year-old later admitted that he had attacked the woman, aged 42, in her Elgin home while her daughter slept upstairs, and that she had repeatedly said “no”.
The High Court in Glasgow heard the victim suffered bruising, but had no other injuries.
Lord Matthews placed Latham on the sex offenders’ register and deferred sentencing until October 4 at the High Court in Edinburgh.
