Tractor catches fire on A96 near Elgin

Police Scotland and the fire service were both called on yesterday afternoon after a tractor caught fire on Moray's busiest road.

The incident happened just to the west of Elgin.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police received a report of a tractor on fire on the A96 westbound near Elgin around 3.25pm.

"Emergency services attended and the tractor was removed from the road."
