THOMSON (Aberlour). Peacefully, at Dr Gray's Hospital, Elgin, on Tuesday, 23rd January, 2018, Ian Gordon Thomson, aged 76 years, much loved father of Alexander and Oliver and a much loved brother of Pat. A service celebrating Ian's life will be held in McLean's Chapel, High Street, Aberlour, on Wednesday, 28th February, at 2.00 pm, to which all friends are respectfully invited. No flowers please.
CRAWFORD On Friday, 16th February, 2018, at Dr Gray's Hospital, in Elgin, Peter James, beloved father, father-in-law, grandfather, uncle, great-uncle and great-grandfather, died peacefully, 97 years young, surrounded by his family. An inspiration and loved by many, he will be forever missed. On Friday, 23rd February, there will be a private service at his home, this will be followed by a burial service at 2.00 pm, at Elgin Cemetery (North), to which all are respectfully invited. McDONALD Peacefully, on Thursday, 15th February, 2018, at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, John (Ian) McDonald, in his 87th year, R.I.P., formerly of Elgin, Nairn and Kilmuir and former Rector of Inverness High School, beloved husband of the late Betty, much loved father of Morag, Susan and Alistair and father-in-law of Steve and Jacqui, also a dear grandfather of Iain and Gillian. Funeral mass on Tuesday, 27th February, at 10.00 am, in St Mary's R. C. Church, Huntly Street, Inverness, to be followed by a committal service in Inverness Crematorium. ASHENDEN (Elgin). Catherine, aged 93 years, wife of the late Graham Frank Ashenden, died Monday, 19th February, 2018. Funeral private.

Peacefully, on Monday, 19th February, at Anderson's, Elgin, Doris Dobbie, aged 100 years, wonderful loving wife of the late Douglas Cardno, dear mother of Hilda, Ian and the late Elizabeth, a devoted gran, great-gran, mother-in-law and aunt. A service of committal will be held at Moray Crematorium, Buckie, today, Friday, 23rd February, at 11.30 am, thereafter a service of thanksgiving at St Columba's South Church, at 1.00 pm. STEWART (Elgin). Peacefully, at Dr Gray's Hospital, Elgin, on Sunday, 18th February, 2018, Hazel, aged 86 years, formerly of Sweethillock, Alves, dearly beloved wife of the late Robbie, much loved mum of Brian, Derek and the late Michael, a cherished mother-in-law, granny, great-granny and a loving and loyal friend to so many. At her own request, a simple graveside ceremony to which all friends are respectfully invited, at Alves Cemetery, on Thursday, 1st March, at 12 noon, then on to the Laichmoray Hotel, Elgin. No flowers please, donations if desired, at Laichmoray for Multiple Sclerosis. Mourning dress optional. Suddenly, at Dr Gray's Hospital, Elgin, after a short illness, on Sunday, 18th February, 2018, Freda Ann Ogg, aged 64 years, dearly loved wife of Stephen Marshall Strathdee, devoted mum of Gavin and Diane, dear mother-in-law of Laura and Gary, precious granny of Emma, Matthew and Lexie, loving daughter of Fred and the late Margaret and sister of Alistair and Alison. Funeral service will be held at Aberlour Parish Church, on Saturday, 24th February, at 11.00 am, interment thereafter in Aberlour Cemetery. All friends are respectfully invited.
