THE FAMILY Doctors, the three part series that went behind-the-scenes at Elgin Health Centre, was watched by an average of 180,000 people in Scotland.
Elgin Health Centre, also known as the Maryhill Group Practice, is one of the busiest GP Practices in Scotland.
The TV documentary showed the reality of running a service with an acute shortage of GPs and ever more stretched resources.
A spokesperson for the BBC said: "This three-part series performed well on BBC Two Scotland and we are delighted with the positive reaction to the series, with many viewers feeling it gave them a real insight into the pressures on modern GPs.
"The average audience for the series was 180,000 with an 8 per cent share of the audience in Scotland."
