A MOSSTODLOCH-based fabrication company has gone under with the loss of 32 jobs
Liquidators KPMG were called into Brown Engineering (Fochabers) Limited on Thursday.
The business was established in 1978 and specialised in the manufacture, installation and maintenance of machinery and pipe work for the distilling and offshore industries.
In recent years the company has faced increased competition, combined with a fall in demand for its services in the oil and gas sector.
As a result of declining sales and smaller margins, losses ensued and cash flow issues intensified and liquidators have been appointed to safeguard the company’s assets.
One employee has been retained to assist KPMG.
A buyer is being sought.
