Closed Auchroisk distillery open doors for Speyside Festival

AUCHROISK whiskyAUCHROISK Distillery at Mulben is taking the unusual step of opening its doors tomorrow to the general public.

The venue near Keith will be holding a special Manager’s Tour as part of the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.

Distillery manager Jennifer Whyte said: "Our distinct character is often used to create the signature taste of many blended whiskies in Diageo’s portfolio.

"We’re welcoming visitors through our doors this Friday to discover exactly what gives our whisky its smooth and subtle character.

"The team are looking forward to hosting this unique tour and we’re sure it’ll be a memorable experience for all involved."

The five-day Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival which starts tomorrow is playing host to more than 500 different events.

Visitors from around Scotland, as well as 54 different countries around the world, will experience everything from tours and tastings, to live music and arts and crafts.
