THE man accused of driving a mechanical digger into a sheltered housing complex in Buckie has appeared in court.
Gregor Durno’s case was heard in private at Elgin Sheriff Court earlier today.
The 30-year-old, whose address was stated by court papers to be in Buckie, was charged with five offences under the Road Traffic Act 1988.
These include dangerous driving, stealing a vehicle and driving it while the influence of drink or drugs.
He was also charged with one offence from each of the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2006, and the Firearms Act 1968.
These involve failing to ensure the welfare of animals, and failing to register a shotgun.
He made no plea and was released on bail until his next court appearance.
The date of this has yet to be decided upon.
