A former BBC correspondant for Russia is coming to Elgin Library to talk about his new book.

Angus Roxburgh, who was also a media advisor to the Kremlin, met four successive Russian presidents during his time in Russia.

He was then pursued by the KGB and ejected from the country.

At the event in Elgin library on May 14 at 7pm, he’ll talk about his time in Russia.

His new book Moscow Calling: Memoirs of a Foreign Correspondent came out in September last year.

Linda Geddes, from the Library, said: “We are very excited about having such a prestigious author to talk about his new book.

“I have heard very good things about him and we are hoping for a full house.”

Tickets cost £5 and are available online or by calling Elgin library on 01343 562602.
