THE four sheep dogs stolen from near Keith have been traced safe and well.
Police say the collies, which were taken from the Cairnie area overnight on Wednesday, were discovered close to Huntly.
The dogs’ theft caused a large amount of reaction on social media, with the story being spread far and wide.
Sergeant Ian Moeller, of Huntly Community Policing Team who is leading the enquiry said: "I’d like to highlight the fantastic response that we have had from the public in relation to this matter. I have no doubt that this has had a positive impact on the enquiry."
Three of the dogs were discovered on Friday, which the fourth being found the next day.
The police have stated that enquires will continue to find out who is involved in the theft which they labelled as "distressing".
