HELP is being sought to trace the movements of Ricky O’Connell who has been found dead beside the River Isla in Keith.
The 28-year’s body was found by a member of the public on Wednesday.
Police Scotland have now asked the public to contact them if they recenty saw Ricky, who was from Inverness, or had contact with him.
Detective Chief Inspector Matt Mackay said: "Ricky spoke with an Irish accent and it is believed that he had been staying in the Keith area.
"He could well have been seen by members of the public going around the town.
"The death continues to be treated as unexplained and there are no apparent suspicious circumstances. We are now in contact with his next of kin, and his family are aware of police enquiries.
"We ask that anyone who may have seen Ricky or spoken to him in the Keith or surrounding areas in the last month contact Police on 101 using reference 3376 of 25 April."
