SPEYSIDE could win the title of holiday destination of the year for BBC’s Countryfile magazine, after being shorlisted to the top five.
This is the first year where Countryfile has invited readers to send in their suggestions for places and organisations that merited recognition.
A spokesperson for BBC Countryfile said: "Speyside made it on to the list because of its wealth of attractions, while remaining somewhat under the radar.
"It offers excellent walking, cycling, whisky tasting, stunning landscapes, and a sparking salmon-rich river."
