Vehicle thefts in Elgin

police scotland logoPOLICE want to talk to four men following the theft of vehicles from Elgin on Sunday.

A blue Audi A3 and a silver Kawasaki ZX10 were taken from the Waulkmill Road area of the town in the early hours of the morning.

Both the car and motorbike were then driven east on the A96 towards Lhanbryde.

The incident occurred at some point between 5am and 5.15am.

Officers are keen to trace the men who were seen in the vicinity at the time.

They are described as being in their late teens, one of which was wearing a dark-coloured tracksuit with his hood covering his head and a scarf covering his face.

Two others were wearing grey tracksuits.

Investigating officer Constable Scott Donald said: "We are lucky that crimes like this do not occur often in the Moray area.

"I urge everyone to ensure that they lock their doors and ensure houses are left secure at all times to prevent further instances like this occurring again."
