Busy summer for Elgin City

THE dust has barely settled on this season, however, Elgin City have already revealed dates for six pre-season friendlies.

The Black and Whites will be busy during July as they build up to the new campaign.

The Borough Briggs club have six friendly encounters planned for the summer.

They will kick off away to Gregg Carrol’s Huntly at Christie Park on Tuesday July 8.

That will be followed by a home match with Nairn County, including ex-City players Archie Macphee and Daniel Moore on Thursday July 10.

Scottish Premiership neighbours Inverness Caley Thistle will be the visitors to Borough Briggs on Saturday July 10.

The busy schedule continues on Monday July 14 with a trip to Deveronvale, managed by former Elgin City youth boss Charlie Charlesworth and on Wednesday July 16, Barry Wilson’s men travel to the Highland capital to face Clach, managed by another former City favourite Iain Polworth.

The hectic friendly line-up will conclude with the visit of another Premiership side when Derek Adams brings his Ross County team to Borough Briggs on Saturday July 19.
