BUCKIE Thistle boss Gary Hake has revealed star turn Aaron Conway could reverse his decision to quit football and stay with the club.
But the Jags manager would not be drawn on speculation linking Formartine United striker Mike Ewen with a move to Victoria Park.
Former Dundee and Dundee United man Conway (29) shone in his debut term with Buckie last year, but after landing an offshore job he broke the news to the club that he was retiring from the game.
However, the Tayside-based midfielder – who is still under contract with Jags for another year – was back watching his team-mates in their 2-1 friendly defeat at Montrose last weekend.
And Hake said he could sense Conway still has an itch to return and may be willing to play for Buckie when he’s available.
“You never know, I think we may see him back in a Buckie jersey yet,” he said. “There’s an indication that he may change his mind about retiring.
