LOSSIEMOUTH’S worst fears have come true as the Highland League have sent them on a midweek trip to Fort William.

With Saturday’s clash between the teams called off due to a waterlogged pitch, Coasters boss Stevie Dunn was concerned it would be rearranged in midweek.

This week’s first raft of midweek fixtures of March confirmed Lossie will indeed visit Lochaber on Wednesday, March 12.

Dunn said before the list was released: "The worst thing of all is it might end up being on a Wednesday night.

"It’s difficult when we’ve got boys from Aberdeen and you’re trying to then get them off work early."

The first midweek card arrives on March 5, with Buckie Thistle hosting league leaders Brora Rangers and Keith visiting Cove Rangers on that night.

Buckie then visit Fraserburgh a week later on the same evening as Lossie make the long journey to Fort William.

Latest fixtures, Wednesday March 5: Buckie Thistle v Brora Rangers; Cove Rangers v Keith; Clachnacuddin v Fort William; Deveronvale v Nairn County; Formartine United v Turriff United; Inverurie Locos v Fraserburgh.

March 12: Deveronvale v Cove Rangers; Fort William v Lossiemouth; Fraserburgh v Buckie Thistle; Huntly v Clachnacuddin; Strathspey Thistle v Brora Rangers

March 19: Clachnacuddin v Strathspey Thistle; Formartine United v Huntly; Fort William v Brora Rangers; Fraserburgh v Cove Rangers.
