North Cup draw produced Moray derby

LOSSIEMOUTH have been handed a favourable draw in this year’s North of Scotland Cup.Aaron Hamilton in action winning a header for Lossiemouth.

And Forres Mechanics and Rothes have been paired together in a Moray derby first round match.

Lossie were given a bye in round one and will be at home to Strathspey Thistle in a battle to reach the semi-finals.

Forres and Rothes will meet at Mosset Park on Wednesday, August 23 when the opening ties are played.

Monday night’s draw at the Caledonian Stadium also saw Elgin City return to the competition with their under-20 team facing a trip to Fort William in round one.

The winners of that match visit Forres or Rothes in the quarter-finals.

Golspie Sutherland, Lossiemouth, Nairn County and Strathspey Thistle received a bye.
