Ross Jack hopes to build on Clyde win

BUILDING on last weekend’s positive 3-1 win over Clyde is imperative, says Elgin City boss Ross Jack.

The Borough Briggs gaffer said: “We have got to make the most of this good win at home and pick up another three points away from home and kick on. We need to start a wee run.”

Despite the win, City remain eight points off a play-off place, so a run of wins is essential.

City travel to the Excelsior Stadium, home of Airdrie United, to face Queen’s Park this weekend. With Hampden Park undergoing a refurbishment ahead of the Commonwealth Games, the Glasgow side are set to be nomads for the rest of this season.

Regardless of their geographical status, Jack knows his side cannot afford to take the bottom side lightly, or they will come a cropper.
