ROTHES have signed former Elgin City captain Jamie Duff from Highland League rivals Brora Rangers.
Centre back Duff's capture on a two-year deal follows the signing of fellow ex-Brora man Scott Graham.
Speysiders manager Steven MacDonald hopes bring in ex-Caley Thistle stalwart Duff can help stem the flow of goals against the Mackessack Park side.
"It was an area we were looking to strengthen in so it's a big boost to get someone of Jamie's experience, having played Scottish League and captained big clubs like Elgin and Brora," he said.
"Hopefully he can be an organiser and lead the team for us from the back.
"He's a winner who can influence others and most importantly he was hungry for a fresh challenge."
Duff joined Elgin when his time at Caley Thistle was ended by a serious knee injury.
He made nearly 200 appearances for the Borough Briggs club, scoring a memorable opening goal at Ibrox against Rangers in a Division 3 match.
A move to Brora came about in the 2016-17 and he led the Sutherland side to two North Cup triumphs.
Midfielder Graham recently had a spell at Forres Mechanics, sandwiched between two stints at Brora.
