THE latest line-up of 10cc - which had number one hits in the 70s I’m Not In Love, Dreadlock Holiday and Rubber Bullets - plays Aberdeen’s Music Hall on Saturday, October 4.

Tickets for the gig go on sale this Friday (April 25) online at, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.

But fans can get a taste of what’s in store when 10cc guitarist, vocalist and founding member Graham Gouldman plays a solo gig in Aberdeen’s Lemon Tree on Wednesday, May 21.

Leading the live line-up, Graham puts 10cc’s longevity down to the quality and individuality of the songs.

He said: "The current band is as near as you’re ever going to get to hearing the perfect 10cc. Hit after hit after hit. It’s relentless. We show no mercy.”

The live band’s line-up also includes Rick Fenn, Paul Burgess, Mick Wilson and Mike Stevens. Paul worked with 10cc from the beginning, Rick joined the live band in the mid-70s and Mike is also musical director with Take That, among other major artistes.

The band had 11 Top 10 hits and sold 15 million albums in the UK alone.

Graham said: "They don’t seem to date; they are original, we never followed any trend we simple wrote for our own pleasure.

"The fact that the songs are being played as often on the radio today as they ever were shows how true that is,” he said.

The band’s first No1 hit, I’m Not In Love was later used on the soundtrack of the film Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, while Dreadlock Holiday is featured on the soundtrack of the 2010 film The Social Network, about the founding of Facebook.

Other chart hits include Donna, Art For Art’s Sake, Good Morning Judge, The Things We Do For Love, I’m Mandy Fly Me, Life Is A Minestrone, The Dean And I and The Wall Street Shuffle.
