Total of 33.7 per cent Moray adults now fully vaccinated against Covid-19

MORE than three in 10 Moray adults have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, updated figures have shown.

A total of 26,821 adults across the area have now received both doses of a vaccine, which amounts to 33.7 per cent of Moray's adult population.

A total of 5305 adults received their second jab in the last week.

Meanwhile, 51,600 adults in Moray (64.8 per cent of the area's adult population) have received at least the first jab. This means 951 people aged 16 plus received their first jab in the last week.

Moray's numbers remain ahead of the national average, with 62.7 per cent of adults (2,846,834 people) across Scotland having received their first jab and 30.2 per cent (1,373,882 people) having received both.

Across the NHS Grampian health board region, 61.9 per cent of the adult population (300,362 people) have received a first dose, with 30.6 per cent of adults (148,645 people) having been fully vaccinated.
