Police Scotland charge man in connection with shoplifting offences in Moray town





A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a theft by housebreaking at a Buckie retail business on June 18.

The man has also been charged with numerous other shoplifting offences in the Moray town.

Constable Allan of Buckie Police Office said: "This type of crime can have a lasting impact on a business, and we are committed to working with communities and our partners to tackle those involved in these crimes.

“I would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter.”

To address concerns of shoplifting in Buckie, a member of Police Scotland’s crime reduction team has been visiting businesses in the area to discuss concerns regarding retail crime.

They have been encouraged to regularly review their security, to visit the Police Scotland website for the latest crime prevention advice or contact their local crime prevention officer for specific advice.
