The cabins will include features like outdoor bathing, cooking facilities, open plan living areas and bathrooms.

They will have the ability to cater to visitors year-round and, according to planning documents, be “in keeping with the character of the landholding”.

It will be managed by the farm owner but a main marketing agent to administer bookings and a cleaner will both be recruited.

Planning documents add: “The accommodation will provide an authentic luxury experience for guests wanting to explore the outdoors from a unique perspective set close by to the North Coast on the outskirts of Lhanbryde village with numerous places to eat and drink within a short distance of the site as well as other relevant local services in both Lhanbryde and Elgin.”

The project represents a £400,000 investment.

The proposed average rate for those interested in visiting has been set at £182.50 per night.
