Elgin Rotary’s Motorfun provides ‘fun-filled day’ at Cooper Park
A ‘fabulous, fun-filled’ day was enjoyed by everyone who attended a popular annual event, according to its organisers.
Hundreds of people flocked to Elgin’s Cooper Park on Sunday, June 8, for the 20th edition of Motorfun.
The Rotary Elgin-run event is well-known for its display of classic cars, and, this year, featured an impressive show by a BMX display team and a taekwondo demonstration.
There were performances from Elgin Pipe Band, Moray Concert Brass, Greenwards choir, Buckie High School Fiddlers and vocalist Ellie Dunbar.
There were also funfairs and a wide array of food and charity stalls.
A spokesperson for Rotary Elgin said: “We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for a fabulous, fun-filled Motorfun and Family Fun Day!
“The weather was perfect, and we couldn't have asked for a better way to come together as a community.
“From the thrilling sports car displays to the incredible BMX bike stunts, and the skilful gymnastics and taekwondo demonstrations, it was a day to remember.
“We were also treated to the sounds of our talented brass bands and the stirring performance by the Elgin Pipe Band and let's not forget the excitement of the children's races, which brought smiles to faces of all ages.
“Thank you to all the participants, charities, food vendors, sponsors, and families who made this event such a success.
“Your enthusiasm, energy, and support make events like this possible, and we're grateful to be a part of such a vibrant community.”
