A96 van driver towing plane stopped by Police Scotland officers in Elgin over ‘motoring offences’





A driver is to be reported for alleged motoring offences after police pulled over a van towing an aircraft.

The incident occured on the A96 in Elgin.

Posting a picture of the striking scene, Police Scotland’s road policing team said: “Having carefully landed this Grumman American aircraft on the trailer, the driver of the Ford Transit tug then forgot to connect their breakaway cable or obtain any insurance prior to pushback.

“They will now be reported to the procurator fiscal.”.
