A96 Fochabers bypass section shut as accident blocks traffic in both directions

A section of the Fochabers bypass is currently closed to traffic.

Police closed a section of the A96 in both directions at 8.30am between the Fochabers and Spey Bay roundabouts due to an accident.

Drivers are advised to use an alternative route and allow extra time for their journey.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call this morning to attend a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A96 Fochabers bypass.

“An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin.”
