YOUNG disabled people across the north-east could be eligible for up to £4000 to help them try new activities.

The Independent Living Fund (ILF) is offering cash support to disabled people aged 16-25 to help them to try new experience and activities.

These would have the prime aim of encouraging them to become more engaged and active in their community, enhance their independence and confidence and help them spend more time with other people.

This fund is open to new applicants only and lasts for a year. Recipients must be resident in Scotland for the duration of their funding.

Those who are maybe unsure what they can apply for or if the ILF is for them are invited to hear the stories of three previous recipients by visiting https://ilf.scot/all-case-studies/case-studies-transition-fund/

For more information, and to apply, go to https://ilf.scot/transition-fund/
