Moray car crash on A98 near Fochabers results in air ambulance being called and man taken to hospital





An air ambulance has been called to the scene of a crash that resulted in a man being taken to hospital.

A 65-year-old was involved in a one-car crash on the A98 near Fochabers shortly before 8.45am today.

Emergency services remain on the scene and the road is closed in both directions.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At about 8.45am on Friday, October 25, we were called to a one car crash on the A98 near to Fochabers roundabout.

"Emergency services attended and a 65-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

“The road is closed in both directions. Enquiries are ongoing.”

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We received a call at 0839 hours today to attend a road traffic collision on the A98 near Fochabers.

“We have dispatched one ambulance, our trauma team and an air ambulance to the scene.”

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson cpnfirmed they were also called to the crash.

“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances and firefighters assisted emergency service partners at the scene,” a spokesperson said.

"One casualty was transported to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service and crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
