Burghead Coastguard and Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance called to Burghead Bay





An air ambulance and the coastguard were called to a casualty near a beach this afternoon.

At around 1.30pm the emergency services received a report regarding a person in need of assistance at Burghead Bay.

Witnesses said they saw the air ambulance, two Coastguard vehicles and an ambulance at the scene.

A HM Coastguard spokesperson said: “We received a report of a casualty in need of assistance at Burghead Bay in Scotland.

“Burghead Coastguard Rescue Team (CRT) was tasked to remove the casualty from the location and put them into the care of an air ambulance helicopter.”
