Number of people fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in Moray nears 65,000

THE number of people fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in Moray is approaching 65,000.

A total of 64,803 people aged 18 plus in Moray are now fully vaccinated, which is 83.6 per cent of the area's adults.

In the last week, 1448 people have been given their second jab.

Meanwhile, a total of 70,624 (91.1 per cent of Moray's adult population) have received one dose of a vaccine. This means 166 people have been given their first dose in the last week.

Across the NHS Grampian health board region, 88.2 per cent of adults (417,657 people) have received a first dose, with 72.8 per cent (334,813 people) having been fully vaccinated.

In Scotland, 89.6 per cent of adults (4,002,903 people) have received their first jab and 70.2 per cent (3,125,690 people) have received both.
