Banff teenager who lost both legs after car crash invited to Westminster





A teenager who lost both his legs in a car crash was invited to Westminster by his local MP.

Adam Golebiewski (18) was one of four people who were travelling in a car which collided with a wall at Union Road in Macduff during the early hours of Sunday, September 8 last year.

The promising goalkeeper from Banff, who played for Deveronside, suffered life-changing injuries in the crash which led to his legs having to be amputated.

In the months after the collision he recovered in hospital in Aberdeen and received prosthetics which allowed him to walk again.

He was recently a guest of Aberdeenshire North and Moray East MP Seamus Logan in London who gave him a tour of the UK Parliament.

Mr Logan said: "I enjoyed welcoming Adam and his father to Westminster for a tour.

“During this tour, we discussed how he is getting on, plans for his future and, of course, football.

"The outpouring of local support in Banff during Adam's recovery process was a testament to how the community was firmly behind Adam during this difficult time.
