AS Moray comes to terms with a changed political landscape after the 2024 General Election, take a look at our data dashboard and analysis.

Last Thursday’s election saw two results in Moray which defied the 10pm exit poll.

Our reporters were on hand at counts in Elgin and Aberdeen to cover all the breaking news.

Moray West, Nairn and Strathspey elected SNP MP Graham Leadbitter, despite pollsters giving him a five per cent chance in the seat.

And, in Aberdeenshire North and Moray East, Douglas Ross failed in his bid for the coastal seat after replacing incumbent Conservative David Duguid.

As Mr Ross reflected, though he had been given a 99 per cent of winning the seat anything is possible in politics.
