Police Scotland appeal following assault and robbery in Forres

Police are appealing for information about a violent incident in Forres on Friday evening.

Officers are enquiring into an assault and robbery on Strathcona Road at around midnight on Friday, July 23 going into Saturday, July 24.

There was also a subsequent disturbance at Mannachie Park involving a group of youths.

A police spokesperson said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

"Anyone with information can call 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
