Armed police raid in Elgin's Councillors Walk

ARMED police were last night at an Elgin property armed with guns and a dog unit.

Streets around the property in Councillors Walk, near Doocot Park, were blocked off by police cars and cordoned off by officers at around 7.30pm on Tuesday, August 20.

Police firearms and dog units entered a property, but enquiries are still ongoing.

A police spokeswoman said: "Officers attended at Councillors Walk in Elgin yesterday evening (Tuesday, August 20) as part of ongoing enquiries to trace a person wanted on warrant.

"Enquiries remain ongoing and the local community is thanked for its patience."
