AN EXHIBITION of local artwork launches in Burghead today as part of a festival focusing on mental health.

Connected: Land to Sea brings together a huge variety of works by the town's Art Group.

Pieces will be on show at The Bakery Studio on Young Street and the exhibition is open daily until June 1, running from noon-5pm.

Moray's Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival 2019, which launched on May 4, continues until the end of this month.

Run by the non-profit organisation ARTS for Wellbeing, it aims to promote engagement in the arts as a way to create greater mental wellbeing and assist recovery from mental illness, trauma or addiction.

This year's theme is Connected and the festival has included talks, exhibitions, music events, family days, and creative workshops.
