Asda Elgin's Glen commended for stand-out service

AN ASDA Elgin worker has been recognised for his outstanding customer service in recent months.
Store security guard Glen Fraser was nominated for his stand-out hard work and positive attitude by colleagues.
The store's workers were asked to nominate a team member who had gone above and beyond the call of duty. Glen’s name came out top 11 times.
Deputy store manager David Philips commended Glen on his work. He said: "Nothing is too much for Glen, to be honest.
"He regularly goes out of his way for people and he has a great rapport with customers. He is warm, friendly and always has a smile on his face – not to mention his customer service is excellent.
"During the pandemic he has helped keep everything under control. Glen has been a key figure for the store and has changed shifts at short notice and come in on days off.
"And even if he is not here, he is always aware of what is going on within the store. He’s been a great support to the management."
Glowing comments submitted by colleagues included: "Glen is such a reassuring face to have in our store. He maintains a safe environment for all and deals with all security issues efficiently and professionally. He works many hours but does so with a smile on his face."
A very modest Glen said: "I was quite shocked and surprised by all the entries, but I'm just doing my job.
"It doesn't matter what supermarket or superstore you are working in – everyone has been outstanding through this pandemic.
"I enjoy all parts of my job. I get on great with all the colleagues here and we've also got really nice customers here at Elgin too."
